Rockland Estate, Sky Explorer and Flying Dutchman
The journey to the top is almost as memorable as the ride back down. The Sky Explorer chairlift climbs 2,630 feet at a leisurely pace, giving you time to soak in sweeping views of the island and neighboring Saba, St. Barts, Anguilla, and St. Eustatius as you approach the 1,125-foot summit. Along the way, a visit to Rockland Estate's 18th-century plantation house introduces the story of Trace Wilson and the legacy preserved by the estate today. At the summit, a brief safety orientation leads into the main event: the Flying Dutchman, the world's steepest zip line, sending riders 1,050 feet downhill over 2,800 feet of line at speeds up to 56 mph. The views are just as spectacular on the way down — only much, much faster.
