Shark Encounter & Snorkel Experience

Guided by expert animal trainers, you’ll enjoy hands-on interaction as you rub, feed, and even cradle one of these mild-mannered creatures in your arms. The adventure continues as you snorkel in their ocean habitat, watching the sharks glide effortlessly beneath you, surrounded by vibrant marine life. A scenic 35-minute ferry ride through Nassau Harbor kicks off the experience, and a delicious lunch keeps you fueled for the day. Things You Should Know
- Minimum age of 10 years to participate in the Shark Encounter
- Guests ages 10–12 must be accompanied in the water by a ticketed parent or guardian participating in the Shark Encounter (minimum age 18)
- Guests ages 13–17 must be accompanied on the island by a parent or guardian with a ticket to any program
- Minimum height of 48 inches to participate in the Shark Encounter
- Roundtrip ferry ride to and from Blue Lagoon Island.
- Program times are assigned at check-in
- All guests are required to complete a waiver prior to check-in; parents must complete for minors
- No drones, scuba equipment, or metal detectors allowed on the island
- No outside food or drinks permitted on the island
- Blue Lagoon Island reserves the right to refuse service to any guest under the influence of alcohol or illegal drugs
- Blue Lagoon Island reserves the right to omit specific behaviors or interactions from the animal programs under certain conditions
- Buffet lunch included

- Inner tubes available (based on availability)
- Beach lounge chairs available (based on availability)
- Freshwater showers and full restroom facilities available
- Water shoes are required to participate in the Shark Encounter
- Swimsuit, comfortable shoes or water shoes, towels, and cash or credit card for additional purchases
- Guests must be able to go up and down ladders and stairs to access the platform
- Pregnant women are not permitted to participate in the Shark Encounter
