Group Cruises & Celebrations FAQs

What is the minimum number of staterooms required for a group cruise?

A minimum of six staterooms is required to qualify for a Margaritaville at Sea group booking.  

Does Margaritaville at Sea offer meeting space for corporate groups, presentations, or celebrations?

Yes. For groups of 25 guests or more, complimentary meeting space is available for up to two hours through planning discussions with your Groups Coordinator. It's the perfect setting for presentations, trainings, reunions, celebrations, and more. 

Will our group have a dedicated coordinator onboard?

Yes. Your group will have a dedicated onboard Group Coordinator to help ensure your celebration or event runs smoothly. 

Do group bookings receive any special benefits?

Yes. Most sailings qualify for Group Amenity Points, which can be used toward select onboard benefits. Holiday sailings and high-occupancy voyages are excluded. 

Can our group dine together?

Yes. Groups can enjoy dinner together during our designated group dining times. When booking your group, you'll be able to select from the available seating options below: 
Paradise: 5:45 PM or 8:00 PM 
Islander: 5:30 PM or 8:15 PM 

Can we bring our own cake or purchase one onboard?

Outside food and beverages are not permitted onboard. However, cakes can be pre-ordered to celebrate birthdays, anniversaries, reunions, and other special occasions during your cruise. 

How are payments handled for group reservations?

Each guest receives an individual payment link after they're added to the group booking, making it easy for everyone to manage and pay for their own reservation. 

When is the deadline to add guests to a group booking?

Additional reservations can be added to your group up to 30 days before sailing, subject to availability. 

Will our group's staterooms be located near one another?

We'll do our best to assign your group staterooms close together so everyone can enjoy the vacation together. While proximity requests are accommodated whenever possible, stateroom assignments are based on availability and cannot be guaranteed. 

Are discounts available for group cruises?

Most eligible group cruises receive a 5% group discount on cruise fare. Holiday sailings and high-occupancy voyages are excluded and may not qualify for group rates.  

Are group shore excursions available?

Yes! Your group can choose from a variety of shore excursions to make the most of your time in port.  

Can our group embark and disembark together?

Embarkation and debarkation times are assigned to help ensure a smooth experience for all guests and may vary across reservations within a group booking. For guests looking to board and depart more quickly, an Express Pass is available for purchase and includes priority embarkation and debarkation.
